Patients & Visitors

Because we believe that your family and friends play an important role in your recovery, contributing to your overall well-being, they are welcome to visit with you during your stay. This Visitor’s Guide provides information that will be helpful to them, and guidelines we ask them to observe to ensure your comfort, as well as that of your fellow patients. We ask you to encourage them to follow these guidelines and invite them to let us know how we can be of assistance to them during their visits.

“Creations” Visiting Hours
Fathers (or other support persons) are never considered as visitors and may remain in the room with mother and baby for the duration of your stay.

Grandparents, big brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and special guests are welcome to visit between the hours of noon and 8 p.m. Since you will need some rest, you may wish to ask friends and neighbors to visit when you get home.

Condition Reports
Personnel at the switchboard will direct your calls to the appropriate nursing unit so your family may speak with your nurse, unless you ask that this information be withheld. Any additional information about your diagnosis and treatment must come from your physician.
Gifts for Patients
Visitors should check with the nurse on duty before bringing food or drinks to patients. Certain gifts, such as flowers, food and live plants, are not allowed in the IC/CCU.
