The Standards of Conduct address specific issues related to quality of care, billing and coding, protection of property, conflicts of interest, health and safety and overall compliance with laws and regulations. Employees are required to sign a statement in which they acknowledge their receipt and understanding of the Standards of Conduct. |
If employees become aware of violations of the Standards of Conduct, hospital policies or procedure, or applicable laws or regulations, they have an obligation to report such violations. The proper channel of reporting compliance concerns would be as follows:
Pleasant Valley Hospital is committed to the operation of an effective compliance program. Accordingly, PVH has established the position of a Corporate Compliance Officer (CCO) who is responsible for oversight, development, implementation and daily operation of the Corporate Compliance Program.
Pleasant Valley Hospital prohibits any form of retaliation or retribution against anyone for reporting problems in good faith through the regular channels of communication or to the Hotline. Callers to the Hotline are assured anonymity or confidentiality to the limit of the law.
