Billing and Financial Information

When it's time to go home from the hospital, our Patient Account Representatives are here to assist in coordinating financial arrangements for you.

Medicare, Medicaid, Worker's Compensation, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna and other health insurance plans are accepted by Pleasant Valley Hospital for covered services.  Since hospital insurance plans typically do not provide full coverage of your hospital bill, we may request that you make a cash deposit at the time of discharge.

If the Hospital has not received payment from your insurance carrier within 60 days, we may request your assistance in collecting for those charges on your behalf.  You, the patient, are responsible for all charges incurred while hospitalized.  It is our intention to assist you in every way possible in settling your account with us.  If at any time during the billing process you have questions regarding your hospital charges, please contact one of our Patient Account Representatives at (304) 675-4340, or (304) 675-1020.

Our Medicaid Specialist will assist patients in determining eligibility for WV Medicaid programs, as well as counsel patients and family members on financial matters.  We also work with an outside entity that will assist patients in determining eligibility for Ohio Medicaid programs.  You can reach this office by calling (304) 675-4340, Ext. 1375.

The hospital accepts personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, money orders and cash.
